WhatsApp, like Facebook, provide us the ability to block someone from whom we do not want to receive any messages.The blocked person on Facebook receives a direct message that he /she has been blocked by another person.But on WhatsApp its a little bit of tricky to know that if the person on the other side has blocked you or not.Because WhatsApp has said it clearly that they have made it intentionally ambiguous.But there are some hints from which you can get an idea if someone blocks you from WhatsApp.
Hints if someone blocked you on WhatsApp
If you've been blocked, here are some tips to help you find out if you've really been blocked.
1.You will no longer see the person's last seen or online

Last seen is when the person last used the WhatsApp application and online tells you whether the person is now using the WhatsApp or not.
So if you can't see someone's last seen then maybe that person has blocked you on WhatsApp. I said maybe, because there are more reasons behind it,
• This person might have set his/her privacy setting to can't see anyone he is online or not and last when he was on WhatsApp.
• You may have set your privacy settings so that your last seen is not shared. If you do not share your last seen, you will not see the last seen of other persons.
• Or you might have been blocked by the other person.
So please notice the other indicators as well.
2.You will not see updates to a contact's profile photo.
If you have been blocked by anyone from WhatsApp you will not see the updated profile picture of this person. always you will see the same dp which he/she has used the last time during chatting with you.
But remember that sometimes people don't change their WhatsApp DP for a long time so that doesn't mean they have blocked you on WhatsApp.
3.You will always see one check mark after sending a message

After sending a message to someone on WhatsApp, you might noticed a gray tick mark at the end of the message,which is also known as a checkmark. Then appear a second grey tick which means you message have been successfully delivered to the recipient. Finally those grey tick marks turns into blue,means your sent message has been read by the recipient.
But if you see a single gray tick for a long time after sending a message to the recipient, then the WhatsApp user might have blocked you.But the same thing might be happen if the WhatsApp user is not active on WhatsApp for a long period of time.
4.Any calls you attempt to place will not go through.
we can make a call through WhatsApp.But if somebody blocked you on WhatsApp you will no be able to call this person through WhatsApp.
Actually you will be able to call this person and you will hear the ringback tone also but never your call will be connected and never will be received by the other person.
Unlike others this is not a perfect indicator to understand that you have been blocked because the same situation can happen when someone goes offline and you call him/her.
5.You can not add this user to a WhatsApp group
If you have created an WhatsApp group or you are an admin of a group and trying to add a member to this group and getting the error "You are not Authorized to add this contact" then you might have been blocked by that contact.
Conclusion
As I told you at the beginning of this blog that there is no any prominent technique to find out if somebody has blocked you on WhatsApp or not. Whatsapp has made it intentionally ambiguous to protect your privacy. But there are some indicators which I have mentioned above.But many of them indicators can be the result of the privacy setting change so if major number of indicators results are matching with you then you can get your final result.
